Our Shire, Castelleone Nuovo,(Italian for New Lion's Castle) is small but hardy. We love visitors and try to make them as welcome as possible. We also hope to give our visitors a fun, new, and educational experience. On this site you will learn about our shire. Who our members are, what we individually are interested in as regards the SCA. You can also find information as to any events we may be holding, pictures from past events, that may persuade you to come to the next one because, really, we do have an awful lot of fun. You can also get information on how to contact anyone of us you need to. This is also a resource for out members as to schedules for various Shire functions, which if you are interested in joining or finding out more about our group you are more than welcome to attend.

Kingdom of Artemisia Shield
KINGDOM OF ARTEMISIA
  1. You don't have to spend a lot of money to participate.
  2. If you want to be an officer, fighter or receive awards you do have to buy a membership.
  3. There is only one rule, which is you have to make an attempt at pre-16th century garb.
  4. There is an almost unlimited list of interests you can have and participate in. It's not all fighting.
  5. Some people have particular ideas of what the Society should be. That is their own opinion.
  6. Very few people start out with a pavilion, Elizabethan garb out of a portrait, or perfect feast gear.
  7. Nearly all of us are in this group to have FUN!
